Will the US successfully accomplish a social transition back to the 19th Century?

Postby ruelle » Thu Nov 24, 2011 12:02 am

Europe with the disclosure of the DSS and learning that the most important Christian documents were those of Nag Hammadi prior to Constantine have largely abandoned Christianity/Islam/Judaism.

The US with Gingrich and child labor laws, Bachman and others with their 19th century European views on religion are trying to prevent knowledge in the US.

The nonsense about not progressively taxing the wealthy up to about 80% on their net earnings is also 19th century politics.

Do you think the effort to bring us back to the 19th century will succeed?

Republicans want to take us back to feudalism, so sure. And that should work out well since as a liberal I have a degree in Eighteenth Century Agrarian Business.

If Obama gets his way, we'll be transformed back into the Bronze Age. Look at the OWS and their lifestyle; rapes, murder, stealing, public peeing and pooping, and just generally bad behavior.

Will you please reread your post? You provide the silliest arguments to support this idea that Conservatives want to return to a 19th century socioeconomic system.

First of all you are confusing independently held ideas with chronology. An idea may be true for false independent of its place, time, or person of origin.

Accepting some ideas from a particular time, place or person does not require I must accept all ideas from that some origin. I can play Go without accepting Shinto as my religion. I can drive a Jeep without joining the military and I can drink French wine without liking French politics.

Also, there are more candidates than just Gingrich, Bachman and the other establishment candidates.
