With political trust at an all time low. How can we trust any of you to do the right thing for the country.?

All politicians are bought and paid for, Democrats by the unions, Republicans by Corporations.
Both being indentured servants to BIG Money.
People should not fear their government, their government should fear the people.
As it stands now the politicians fear no one and feel they are above the LAW and don't have to answer to no one especially the people. This is an issue for both sides of the isle.
So how can we trust anyone in Washington at this time?

Government is at the root of the majority of societies' issues.

People demand it with their votes.

Because we cannot trust anyone in Washington we need to make sure we have control of the people in Washington. Therefore we need NO LIFE LONG CAREER POLITICIANS.

To return the government of this nation to the people to be run by the people and for the people strict term limits must be put in place and enforced.

These are my suggestions for the next amendments to the U. S. Constitution fashioned after the Constitutional term limits for the President.

STRICT TERM LIMITS

MY PROPOSED AMENDMENT XXVIII

Section 1. Limitation on Senators tenure. No person shall be elected to the office of senator more than twice, and no person who has held the office of senator, or acted as senator, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected senator shall be elected to the office of the senator more than once. But this article shall not apply to any person holding the office of senator when this article was proposed by the congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of senator, or acting as a senator, during the term within which this article becomes operative from holding the office of senator or acting as senator during the remainder of such term.

Section 2. Time for ratification. This article shall be inoperative unless it shall have been ratified as an amendment to the constitution by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several states within seven years from the date of its submission to the states by the congress.

MY PROPOSED AMENDMENT XXIX

Section 1. Limitation on Representatives of the House of Representatives tenure. No person shall be elected to the House of Representatives more than twice, and no person who has held the office of representative, or acted as representative, for more than one years of a term to which some other person was elected representative shall be elected to the office of the representative more than once. But this article shall not apply to any person holding the office of representative when this article was proposed by the congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of representative, or acting as representative, during the term within which this article becomes operative from holding the office of representative or acting as representative during the remainder of such term.

Section 2. Time for ratification. This article shall be inoperative unless it shall have been ratified as an amendment to the constitution by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several states within seven years from the date of its submission to the states by the congress.
