Workers Comp for broken toe?

Postby tonibraxton » Wed Oct 26, 2011 2:48 am

I broke my toe at work the other day and my boss had me fill out an 801. I did not miss any days of work. What happens to the claim? Do I get "compensation" just for being injured? How much?

Most likely your injury will be treated as "first aid" not workers comp.
This means all your medical bills will be paid and that's all.
The company will have on file that you had an injury and if you have future issues than you can open a workers comp claim.

Workers comp pays for:
- medical bills
- disability = which you do not have
- missed time = which you do not have ~ even if you took off a few hours of work that does not count as missed time. Missed time depends on the state and you must miss between 3-15 days before you can be paid for missed time.

no.....comp will pay your med bills if any come about....

comp would pay you for being off due to the injury.......if need be, but..............

if you were to lose a limb or be blinded, there are monies for that in settlement...

but a normal injury? no..

No. You get worker's comp for medical bills, disabilities, or time lost from work. If you did not miss work and are not disabled, then all it does is to pay the medical bills.
