Workers comp wrist injury settlement?

Postby seager » Tue Apr 03, 2012 9:48 am

Basically I am a cashier at a pretty big corporation in Wisconsin I am 22 year old male...
I was injured at work at the beginning of the year just doing normal cashiering nothing negligent. My wrist went numb swollen felt like pins.. They took me to the doc. Did x rays not much went to the doc 2 times in 2 months he suggested physical therapy he is not sure what's wrong it hurts bad. Pt thinks I pulled ligaments/ tendons I will continue this for at least a month. I don't ever see the bills it goes straight to my companies insurance .. So my question is other then medical bills am I entitled to monetary compensation aka a cash settlement. Like I said I live in wisconsin. People I work with say no. I'm not sure about lawyer process and what that all entails but also if I go the lawyer route I feel managers will treat me "worse" even though by law they can't it's not like I plan on being a cashier my whole life but what do you think? How to go about the process. How much could I potentially get? What's the lawyer route

Thanks in advance
