Workers compensation insurance?

My husband is starting his new business as a contractor. He knows how to install carpet and do different kind of floor installation. He needs to get a worker’s compensation insurance so he can start working on his own. We live in Los Angeles California. Does anyone knows any workers comp insurance that does not cost that much? Can anyone help us and give as tips on what to do, or what to look for?
