I Got Fired From Our Work But I Never Had A Poor Statement?

I?m creating this to see you of the possible lack of instruction I?ve been getting onboard the M/V Grand Slam. Since I have?ve been onboard I haven?t obtained enough time in the handles when it comes to working the DP system-while alongside the platform, or have I obtained period in the handles while transitting out and in of interface. Neither chief John or David have permitted me much instruction period, that will be is becoming extremely irritating. Both have permitted additional officials which were formerly onboard or which are onboard today to operate the funnel and control the boat while on DP. I'd as being a reasonable chance to do the same.<br />
A far more severe problem has happened earlier today. Although I had been washing the refridgerator about the link, Chief M [title removed]found me and created a comment in my experience that I came across to become really unpleasant. He explained "to not gang on us white individuals". It was raised throughout the security assembly, and Chief M[title removed] stated he intended it like a laugh. Used to do not find this humorous by no means. I try my better to be skilled and respectful which kind of conduct is offensive.<br />
Thanks ahead of time to take the full time to hear. Ideally we are able to solve these problems together in an expert way.<br />

And that I believe i got dismissed as a result of this,there isn't no battle or something plus they dismissed me but allow the additional chief that insulted me keep. I had been simply wondering of what authorized functions I will consider resolve this issue?

Being rude is not a legal issue. If this was a single incident of a racial remark it is unlikely you have the basis for any claim.

It may not be fair but it may be legal. UNLESS it rises to the level of racial discrimination (and one remark isn;t likely to) there's no basis to sue anyone. As I said, you can file a complaint with the EEOC if you like.

i dont believe its reasonable for me personally to get rid of my work and also the organization to not do something concerning the chief that created the comment?  No regulations need an company to become reasonable so that as Lynn stated, one irritating remark doesn't represent banned discrimination/harassment.<br />
It is best to apply for unemployment benefits (when you haven't currently) and concentrate your powers on receiving a fresh position.  Good luck.

I'm a 1600 lot grasp,I've had 35 years of encounter on boats,5 years on DP boats,the reson why I had been washing it's since i looked over the frig. Also it was filthy and so I got it upon myself to wash it since i been carrying it out myself before plus one of my seaman got through the rear entrance of the pilot home and that I told him to obtain another seaman togo cleanup within the gallley,subsequently chief lonny created the comment accepting since we've 5 additional african americanis onboard including myslef.

Let's assume that your are Chief H, just how many Captains exist with this vessel, that weam guess can be a oil-rig offer vessel.  of course if you're a Chief, why were you cleaning up a refrig?  Certainly the Chief of the yacht does not execute these kinds of tasks.<br />

Perhaps you have had class instruction on Active Placement yet?  or even, that may clarify your insufficient handle time.  if you should be ranked like a Chief, you'd have previously had several hours of handle period while transiting stations and flying the vessel.<br />
Please clarify the problem in a little more detail.<br />

Probably none. If you believe you were fired because of your race, file a complaint with the EEOC. Otherwise there is no legal issue to address.
