Accident personal injury protocols?

Postby ayize » Wed Dec 14, 2011 7:28 pm

Hello; had an accident Feb 2010; Letter of acknowledgement was received July 2010; sent to insurers on May 2010; July to November 2010 no admission, to date November 2011; no admission - would there be a penalty not following personal injury protocol; is it normal for insurance firm to have solicitors acting on their behalf

Accident personal injury protocols?

Of course an Insurance firm has Solicitors they do not have the knowledge to do it them selves. There is a time span not sure what it is though. Have you contacted your Insurers who's Solicitors should be sorting this out.

Yes, as KL says, quite normal for Solicitors to act for the Insurer. Do you not have one too?

Whether you do or not, you have nothing to lose by chasing them up and emphasise as much as you honestly can, how their delay is causing you further difficulties (emotional, financial or whatever they are). Keep copies of everything.

The only protocol is they will do everything to put you off; you must do everything to chase them up.

Good luck.
