i was on workers compensation and while i was on it i carried over the maximum amount of hours the state agency allows from year to year they allow you carry over 240 hours i carried over 318 because i was on comp and did not have a chance to use it before Dec,31.they took it away and said they did not have to pay me for it.do they at least have to pay me for the 78 hours i accrued. thank u.

Annual Leave

Ashley - If the policy is that nothing over 240 hours can be carried over to a new year, then there is no obligation for them to pay you for the hours lost.  I am assuming that you were not out for the entire year in question.  People who felt they were too busy, or who took FMLA leave, or who had some other reason for not using their extra time all have to be treated the same.  That includes employees out on workers' comp.
