Another Truly Needless Law Banning Sharia Law In The Us- Kowtowing To The Right Wing Nativists And Accomplishing Nothing

This tends to make me ashamed to live in Georgia. It seems like the legislature wants to play political games rather than accomplish something valuable. Why not talk about jobs or company? Nppppp - they would rather score political points.http://blogs.ajc.com/political-insider-jim-galloway/2011/02/08/a-bill-to-ban-sharia-law-in-georgia-courts/Dumb.

DM makes a good point. It's better to be proactive against something like creeping Sharia than wait until its too late.   AutumnWind 34 months ago

I agree. Totally unnecessary but it seems they are buying into the Tea party allegation that Obama wasn't born here, is a Moslem and will bring Sharia law to the United States. This is either politics(which is pretty cynical) or fear, both of which are unnecessary when we have more important issues to deal with. This is not worthy of the great state of Georgia. It makes people think that they are still stuck in the mindset of the American Civil War. It's time to move on.   MaryAnn 34 months ago

Heck, if you guys in Georga want Sharia Law like apparently you seem to, go on and get it voted in. Personally, I would be grateful that my State(Georgia) is watching out for its citizens.Just be sure to get ready to have your women kept in the home, be stoned for sex outside of marriage. Your hands cut off for stealing and If you are a Muslim and change your religion to Christian be prepared to be killed. You gotta just love that Sharia Law!!(making note to myself to keep out of Georgia if ElBanditoRosso gets what he wants.....)   LouLou 34 months ago

Anyone with half a brain would realize that the chances of Sharia law taking hold in this country is nil. It is purely a scare tactic to promote fear among those who do not take the time to investigate on their own whether such an idiotic idea has any credence, and would prefer to remain ignorant and in the dark.   rhine44 34 months ago
