Are court reporters TRULY in high demand?

Are court reporters TRULY in high demand?

I'm thinking of going into court reporting when I'm done high school (graduating June). The Bureau of Labor says it's in high demand, but then again, jobs in the law field are supposedly drying up

Right now. I know in California, they're trying to switch over to recording the hearings.
