You must show actual loss of money or quantifiable emotional distress. On the latter, I read that Carol Burnett won against "The Enquirer" after they published an article about Ms. Burnett being drunk in public--you know, the Carol Burnett whose parents were alcoholics, destroyed the family, and made daughter Carol a teetotaler? She was livid. Oh, and famous, too(that is, slander would really cost her $$.)   danielpauldavis 15 months ago
