Are the Bankruptcy laws the same in every state?

I use to live in NY state, but I now live in TN and I am in dept. I wanted to know if the Bankruptcy laws are the same in every state or vary from state to state?

i believe they vary from state to state.

Bankruptcy is handled in federal court, regardless of which state you reside in.

Bankruptcy law is federal law, so it's the same everywhere. If you file, you file in federal court.
