Are there any laws that protect me from work in getting an education?

I am an online student studying film (Motion Picture & television). My homework/Class Work isn't your ordinary "written essay" or "read pages 10-27". With a camera in hand and other equipment, I have to physically get up and do the homework.

Now my problem is, my job isn't giving me the time to do my school work. I've asked for a couple days off to do my schooling but no matter how many times i try and tell them, they still want me come in. Basically if i went with what they are telling me to do, i will be working 6 days a week, 9 am to 6 pm.

Are there any laws that protect me from this problem?

What can i do to get it through their heads?

Oh you poor thing, you have a full time job and the money to go to school, yet here you are bitching about your life. No of course there aren't any laws to protect you from the problem that you created. I know how you can show them, walk in there tomorrow and quit. That will really show them. Oh and BTW...What the heck does your question have to do with homeschooling?

If you're a minor, you're not allowed to work that many hours.

If you're an adult, then you have to juggle your own job and education schedules. If they don't work together, you will have to make some tough choices. Perhaps talk to your boss about cutting your hours.
