Assisting A Teenager Who Had Been Kicked Out

Postby Adalwolf » Sat Feb 08, 2014 8:18 pm

My issue requires emancipation regulations for their State of: Tx
my husbandis ex girlfriend started her oldest boy out, and called my husband in the future obtain the child. the child is-16 b/e and his mother's new partner said he (the little one) was not welcome in his home. do we've any privileges to take care of this kid or can there be any way he might become emanicpated with out employment & helping herself 100% (we help him). Recall; the difficult part is, my spouse isn't this childs natural dad. Thanks ahead of time for the help.

Helping A Teen Who Was Kicked Out

You've to contact CPS. Mom is legally-required to aid her child and her steps might be regarded as child neglect.
if your spouse gets engaged without appropriate assistance, he might be finding herself into some problems.
Once this all becomes recognized to CPS, they are able to permit all types of short-term situations.

Helping A Teen Who Was Kicked Out

Emancipation and you supporting him are mutually exclusive. The ONLY way a minor can be emancipated is if he is 100% SELF supporting. That is what emancipation MEANS. It does NOT mean that custody is taken away from one adult and given to another.

You can look into guardianship. This will be easiest if mom (and, if he's anywhere in the picture, dad) consent.
