Bad credit Rating How do I fix it?

Postby kenway » Sat Jun 16, 2012 7:02 am

Ok so my credit score sucks it is 386 to be exact. I didnt care about credit in the past and now I am paying for it. I would like to get it to 620 in 2 years. i dont know if that is even possible. My debts for the majority were doctor bills and are now past the stature of limitation. None of which were ever paid does the S.O.L laws remove those from credit history or what? Last question would bankruptcy be a better option for me. I plan on trying to get a credit card would I even be able to with my score the way it is. I also plan on owning a buisness would that help my credit score any? i am pretty clueless as to how the credit game works I need advice. Thank you in advance.

Bad credit Rating How do I fix it?

IF past SOL check your reports at annualcreditreport.com it is the only real free place, follow instructions carefully the bad debts must come of by law after 7 years so demand removal if old enough. your score will not go up until you get a loan and a CC is the dumbest thing you could right now.

This answer is not popular but I am one of the few with over 800 CS and this is how I and everyone like me started. Best cheapest way to establish credit is a secured bank loan pay off over 7 months and repeat until you can get an unsecured one. Getting a CC to start your file is not only stupid because even if you get one the limit will be so low you will cause more harm then good using it it is stupid because until you have practice paying debts CC offer to much freedom

The debt would have to be 7.5 years from the date of first delinquency to be removed from the credit report.

It took you years to not care about your credit,. it will take years to improve it.

Try Nolo's Credit Repair (2011 edition) to gain more knowledge about debt and credit.
