divorced in 1994 attorney advised me not to file bankruptcy the law states that in 7years most all wold come off record which was true but some banks made it hard & lasted it out as long as they could , things were were looking better new work van equipment tools etc etc MONEY wacomingng

in then BOOM ! my van blew-up on the fire lost every thing I went Mississippimississipi river to reflSmall had a samll breakparalyzeds paraliozed waist down took 10 years to recover now im ready again but this time i have no credit history awonderings woundering if some one had any ideas on baby steps on gaining back my credit at the age of 42years? thank for ur time art m. You don't need credit in life.
Don't let this bother you.
Just save up what you can and buy what you need in cash and live within your means.
Plenty of people live without credit. Be one of them.

More important than any top credit score is savings.
This should be 5 months worth of income. Make that your goal.
Then, see if you can save a bit for retirement.
And kiss having credit goodbye. You don't need it.
