My ex-spouse filed chapter 7 bankruptcy on a home that was in both of our names... Can the bank forclose on the home without notifying me first?

Is she awarded the home by order and supposed to buy you out or something--and Ch 7 is a step to get the home and freeze you out leaving you holding the debt--be careful of complications!

Because you're about the action you will instantly be contained in any authorized notices.
Nevertheless, these updates will probably visit be resolved to both of you collectively at whichever handle is on report using the lender, that might not be your address.
I would recommend being pro active and contact the financial institution occasionally for status.
Other areas to check on contain your credit history and also the Region Camera for almost any updates of foreclosure sales. May also operate the handle of the home on http://www.zillow.com/ occasionally to determine when there is any activity.
