even though my paper (ticket) has everything for guilty on it..
like is there a a way to get a court date anyway what do i do..
the paper already is marked up.

* i was the passenger.. she was speeding by 4 miles

my friend says i shud go and fight it. and plead not guilty try and save 175 dollars

YOu can just write a darkly inked NOT in front of the guilty. Even if they can clearly tell that you wrote guilty first, it still counts as pleading not guilty.

Also, you can cross through the word guilty and write not guilty above it. It's ok if it's messy.

You are guilty, though. And, you won't save $175 because they are not going to be happy that you wasted the court's time. They'll have to pay the officer to be in court, and he will not be happy about it.

They are not going to believe you if you lie. They are not going to lower the amount for this kind of ticket (they do lower fines and such, but not for stuff as standard as a seatbelt ticket. This fine is a set price)


It doestn' matter how fast she was going. You broke the law and got a ticket.

You can make payment arrangements, though.
