Can a police, CHP, or sheriff pull me over if i have current registration on my car?

im in San Bernardino County, CA & was stopped 5 times in the month of March alone!!

...yeah they are really cracking down out here. well my registration was soon to be expired, i thought i had another week...so the cop pulls me over. i was doing the speed limit, not on the phone...nothing. he tells me when he pulls me over that he can run my plates whenever he wants, wherever he wants. he was the same cop that had pulled me over 2 of the 5 times!!

it feels like he was waiting for my registration to expire, & he CLEARLY knows my car!! my real concern is this...if i have current registration & insurance can i still be stopped if im following the traffic laws? can they legally run to see what the status of my license is through the registration of my plates??

when running my plates what are the limitations as to what law enforcement can & can not do?

To avoid having your vehicle pulled over by the police:
Make sure all lights are in working order / Wipers /Brakes / License plate light,/ loud muffler stay within the speed limit, and if any police officer does pull you over, the conversation should probably go like this, "Yes Sir- No Sir - Three Bags full Sir"
If you get Snarky, they just start looking harder. The police computers of today, have the ability to read licence plates driving through a parking lot, and instantly identifying out of date tags unpaid fines Etc.As well they can stop any vehicle that looks similar to a vehicle that caused an accident, or was connected to a crime.
Try to steer clear of the police theater of operations

yes they need a reason to pull you over but yes they can always check your plates. and if a cop knows your registration is now expired and he sees you, of course he will pull you over. theyre the police, they can do whatever they want
