Can an unpaid debt stop you from boot camp graduation even if you only have 3 weeks left?

my husband is away at boot camp and I got a call from some place that wouldn't give there name. The man said he was from a law firm and they were going after my husband for an unpaid debt..He said if it wasn't paid by tuesday he was going to file it with the court..and he said if he files the papers it will stop his military process....Im also in the middle of filing bankruptcy! Can that happen can it really stop him from graduating ?

Ignore the call. If he were being sued they would send a letter. This is a collection agency trying to scare you, give them no information and tell them to send you written proof of the debt by mail and not to contact you by phone anymore.

once you file for chapter 13 you must wait at least 7 years to get back to normal
