Can Drinking Large Amounts Of Cider Vinegar Every Day Cause False Pos On Bac Urine Test?

I have just learned that there is trace amounts of alcohol in cider vinegar. I have also learned of the health benefits of drinking vinegar. Every day I fill a coffee cup about 2/3 full of hot water. then 1 TBSP Honey, and 10 TBSP cider vinegar, and a cinnamon stick. I drink this 2 to 3 times pr day, and have come to enjoy this flavor. However, Due to my probation I am not allowed to consume alcoholic beverages. And I do not.But have never considered vinegar to be alcoholic. Could this healthy habit possibly lead to a false positive if I were to be given urinalysis? THANKS :)

Yes, it is possible that drinking vinegar could case a false reading on a urine test.Now, I have to say this. I am assuming that you are on probation for some sort of alcohol related offense,as you are not allowed to drink while on probation. Come on, guy. We aren't stupid here. A lot of us are well aware of the horrible cravings that an alcoholic has when they stop drinking. You aren't drinking cider vinegar for "health benefits". You are drinking it to try to ease the feelings your body is going through due to lack of booze.Two things. Go find an A.A. meeting, or some type of support group to help you through this. Second, don't insult our intelligence. There is nothing shameful about having a problem with alcohol, and you are to be commended for at least trying to following the conditions of your probation. The only shame you should feel is shame for not admitting what is actually going on.

I do not think that drinking vinegar is healthful, but it should not give a false positive either First of all, I do not think that drinking vinegar is a healthy habit.It depends on quantities, but in the past people(silly women) die for drinkingtoo much vinegar.Said that, unless your American vinegar is so rich in alcohol(and I do not think so)the amount of alcohol you drink is totally negligible.In any case, if you have doubts you can just avoid this meaningless drink just for the day of the analysis.
