Can i represent my wife in a medical malpractice claim in canada?

my wife suffered injury as a result of a medical malpractice. We do not have money to hire a lawyer, can I act as an agent in the litigation in canada?

This would be disastrous. The lawyers your up against would love you.

There are many lawyers that will work for a percentage of the settlement.

You _can_, but it's a bad idea. Get a lawyer that takes a percentage of what you win in the case. If you don't win, the lawyer gets nothing.

You're going to take on either a hospital or a doctor, both of whom have a team of lawyers on their side, as well as the malpractice insurance carrier that will have their own attorneys. If you're not a lawyer you have absolutely no hope of even getting to trial. I would normally use the phrase "pissing into the wind" but in this case that is not even close to strong enough to convey the fultility of the situation. That's more like attempting to piss into the back end of a 747 jet engine at full throttle.
