Can you claim for personal injury twice?

I was involved in an accident about 10 years ago, suffered a back injury. I was the front seat passenger, I made a claim through my now ex partner's insurance company, at the time and was dealt with, I got my payout. But the other day I got a strange phone call about an accident I was in, just want to check, before I report this as a scam.
