Court date change in California?

I went to the Supreme Court for my traffic ticket on June 20th and my case was dismissed because the officer didnt show up. Now, three days later, the officer sent me a request for postponement of traffic court trial in the mail and has asked for the date to be moved to July 9th. Since my court case has already been dismissed, do I still need to show up on his preferred date?

I doubt you went to the supreme court for a traffic ticket. Perhaps you mean superior court.
Get a record of the dismissal from the court.
I would doubt it but you might check with the courts and a lawyer.
