Denial-Of Entry Into Canada

My partner and I recently moved to Canada in the US and live with my dad. I've qualified for enough details to receive experienced employees allow. Nevertheless, I'm currently along the way of trying to get permenant residency. My partner recently returned to the states to get a family crisis and as he was attempting to return to Canada he was refused access because of his previous criminal history. The running period for perm. residency is just a long period, and after I'm given perm residency I still have another long wait to get him below. I do not understand what to complete. Please assist in in whatever way possiable. I simply need my spouse to be here with me and my children. My dad is looking after us and our children have been in school within Europe. So what can we do?

This is a U.S.-centered forum, and I'm not sure how many people pass by who know about Canadian immigration law. He could ask the immigration authorities if it will be sufficient to get an expungement, assuming that's possible in the state where he was convincted and assuming also that he qualifies.
