Designer Drugs, Illegal Drugs, Natural Drugs. Is it ETHICAL to combat Known less harmful drugs?

Jeremy

Bath salts a 'drug'? How about glue, paint, even gasoline? How many abusers are there compared to 'legitimate users'. There are legitimate, legal drugs that will work on medical related issues. Doctors are used to discern which drugs, to deal with which issues.

What you propose is self medicated society. Where every person can use, abuse, self prescribe, or grow the drug of their choice.

You REALLY don't see anything wrong with this picture? The law is fighting to enforce the laws regarding drug use, production, abuse. They may be meaningless to you. But to the majority of the population, they remain important laws
.
Anyone making designer drugs, to skirt the drug and licensing laws, should be sued, fined, and imprisoned. For their sole goal is to circumvent the very system that keeps the supply of medicinal products safe. These drugs are designed as a money making venture, and are marketed to those who really just want a high. Often these drugs are disguised as other products, and sold so that minors can buy them. These untested, unlicensed drugs are the most dangerous of all ... for their content, effects, sale, and use are without oversight.

All drugs are dangerous. Some drugs that have therapeutic purposes are extremely dangerous and have dreadful side effects. These risks are outweighed by the potential benefits. "Bath salts" have no health benefits and only unacceptable risks.

The fact that you're trying to use your military service, when all you did was wield a wrench in the US, as some kind of excuse to abuse these drugs is reprehensible.

ADD: There are plenty of people who are able to serve honorably without ever becoming alcoholics. Don't blame your personal failings on the military. That's embarrassing for you.
