Did I require a carbon monoxide test?

I recently rented out my property with a real estate agency. When I received my first statement I was charged $80 for a carbon monoxide test. I don't have gas in my property, only electricity. Is a carbon monoxide test required by law in Australia regardless of whether you have Gas or have I been incorrectly charged?
