Do cops have to follow the same traffic laws as everyone else?

No one is above the law. But unfortunately, we see the opposite. This is very sad. An ordinary citizen can be arrested and persecuted quickly. But when it comes to law officers, it would take almost a lifetime to arrest and persecute them. If they would be eventually, you will find them bailed out or case been dismissed.

They should unless it is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY!
Otherwise they SHOULD NOT treat us like CRIMINALS when we do the same thing they do!!!

Like Connie said, you have to look at this from OUR point of view. We aren't allowed to run code for every call so we do what we have to do to GET THERE with safety for everyone in mind. How would you like it if I was dispatched to YOUR house and I had to stop at all red lights? You wouldn't like it ONE TINY BIT. We can't win, can we?
