She certainly can make the referral to the surgeon now. What she should tell you is what her medical recommendation is (which is apparently that you see a surgeon), what other alternatives there may be, and what the likely medical outcome of each would be. And she can tell you if your insurance might pay for it, if she knows. You can then find out how much each alternative will cost and make your decision. But saying she "can't" make the referral makes it sound like the insurance company gets to dictate your treatment. Insurance companies don't dictate that, and in my view no doctor should ever suggest that they do.

As for whether you have a medical malpractice case, it's impossible to say without having a medical expert review your medical file and opine on whether the PA has applied the minimal level of skill needed. It's not guranteed that your new physician is correct on what the best treatment should be, and even if she is, that doesn't mean that the treatment you are getting isn't still within the accepted standard of care.

Ok kinda confused today. The physician may be the one that delivered me for that 3 xrays.I need to be delivered to an ortho to ensure that an ortho will require me. I'd started experiencing another physician. And was informed by my new physician they wasn't ready to deliver me to an ortho for 3 months since my insurance wouldn't protect since the physician who casted it'd to become the main one to deliver me.I have previously spoken to my first who casted it, concerning the situation of my hand. he explained I'd be good!  that I'd simply possess a group where the break is.my last xray was completed at that visit. I'd to contact them twice to obtain these results.now im awaiting my next appt. He explained I had been likely to get my cast-off. I've him documented informing me this and wondering about my hand. Why have you been attempting to get this to my problem?? I've been looking to get it taken care of.i suggest truly??
