Do we have Christians to thank for at least ONE good thing?

It seems that Teenagers loved Ice Cream Sodas.

But of course, we know that anything that a teenager loves MUST be a sin.

So, Christians in Evanston, Illinois in 1890, passed a "Blue Law" prohibiting the sale of Ice Cream Sodas on Sunday.

As the rest of the story goes:

"Some ingenious confectioners and drug store operators [in Evanston]... obeying the law, served ice cream with the syrup of your choice without the soda, thereby complying with the law.

This sodaless soda was "The Sunday Soda."

Not to be outdone, those wonderful Christians then objected to naming the dish after the Sabbath, so the spelling of the name was changed to "Sundae".

So, we have Christians to thank for the Ice Cream Sundae.

Actually, most good things in your life come as a result of Christianity. Have you ever heard of an atheist scientist or inventor? Even in this day and age they are rare. There have been Jews and agnostics and even MusIims who have contributed much to society, but atheists hardly do anything but try to be bigoted on the internet all day while they get BAs in something unimportant like sociology or English even though they come from a white suburban family. A BA is something you'd expect someone who comes from an economically disadvantaged rural or urban household to get, but of course atheists are the lowest of their socio-economic class and drop to the bottom when they openly become bigots.

We Christians don't deserve any thanks. But God does. He has done Soo much for all of us worthless sinners, yet so many still choose to go against Him. That pains me so much:(
