Does The Passing Of The Arizona 'birther' Bill Benefit President Obama?

Birthers, Sharia law, cutting social applications with a meat ax although continuing tax breaks to millionaires! Where will it finish? In the voting booth when Barack Obama is re-elected president of the United States. Then, can we settle down, put a muzzle on these appropriate-wing extremists and get to the business of running this country.   MaryAnn 32 months ago

Two downvotes for the details, backed up with proof. I've had enough, and am forwarding this, and the other political downvotes I have gotten on my opinions to Genelle for voter abuse. Men and women have gotten banned for this, and it appears like more of them are to stick to.   TurboB 32 months ago

This will get struck down; a state cannot create barriers to a Federal office(Presidency) that are not constitutionally mandated. This is another example of the far reaching idiocy of Arizona, helped more than a little by the right wing.   ElBanditoRoso 32 months ago

They are effectively illustrating how much attention they are willing to devote to something that has not been an issue throughout the history of this country and is vastly lacking in importance. Just think of it, all of the problems these hired officials could spend time on to help this country, and they find it acceptable to use their time to nit pick on something that isn't helping anyone in any way. They are more invested in their bias as projected into the future, than they are in the people all around them who need their help. Wow, aren't these people tremendous individuals? They just keep Ari-zoning further and further into the Twilight Zone. This will definitely help Obama.   Skylight 32 months ago

All states should have a law like this. They should also be as strict in identifying voters.Having said that, I believe the Arizona is weak.   Rock 32 months ago

Does The Passing Of The Arizona 'birther' Bill Benefit President Obama?

Heres a thing. Only 38% of Republican primary voters say they're willing to support a candidate for President next year who firmly rejects the birther theory and those folks want Mitt Romney to be their nominee for President next year. With the other 62% of Republicans- 23% of whom say they are only willing to vote for a birther and 39% of whom are not sure- Donald Trump is cleaning up. And as a result Trump's ridden the controversy about Barack Obama's place of birth to the highest level of support we've found for anyone in our national GOP polling so far in 2011.And that means there's a very serious contingent within the Republican Party that's less concerned with beating Barack Obama than having a nominee who gets them fired up. That suggests many GOP voters have not learned the lessons of Nevada and Delaware and that Obama may survive despite his weak approval numbers because the Republicans end up defeating themselves. As long as we have the birther screetching, Obama is a shoo in.http://publicpolicypolling.blogspot.com/2011/04/trump-takes-lead.html   TurboB 32 months ago http://publicpolicypolling.blogspot.com/2011/04/trump-takes-lead.html
