Does the republican crackdown on chapter 7 bankruptcy laws in 2005 prove they are against poor and for rich?

Only poor person files chapter 7 bankruptcy. And only large banks and credit card companies (which are rich) oppose bankruptcy. Whether a person is financially responsible or financially irresponsible, the government has NO business telling citizens how to spend. This is free country. We don't want government interference in our lives. Republicans don't preach their own mantra. This bankruptcy crackdown interferes into the lives of the lowest man of the ladder.

The republicans will eventually steal everything this country has - and give it to the rich. THAT is their mission - make no mistake.

This is why it's so amazing that they get all these poor, stupid people who live in trailers to vote republican.... Best sales job in history.

Why do people file? Living to high usually. Quit living beyond your means.

sure it does, I knew that back when it was passed, kind of funny how it all played out. they changed the game on the poor with the bankruptcy reform law then only a few years later the economy takes a crap, the banks (credit card company's) rate jack people who are already hurting. the banks get bail outs and the poor lose everything.

yup that about sums up republican policy's

screw the little guy.

Does YOUR demand for a "right" to run-up CONSUMER CREDIT with no intent to pay prove you're a pile of crap?

Obama said before he was elected president that he was going to change bankruptcy laws. He said every one should pay back what they owe.
