Does this mean i have been convicted of a criminal offense?

Postby starling » Wed Nov 30, 2011 1:42 am

A police officer told me i will be charged with "improper lane change".. because i turned to fast and crashed into a car. The front of her car was damaged, not sure if her car was a write off or not..

Anyways i am just curious to know if according to the law if that would be considered being convicted of a criminal offense.

Like in documents such as when your filling out forms to apply for jobs would i check mark yes or no under criminal offense?

That's a traffic violation, not a criminal offense. If you were not arrested and charged, I wouldn't worry about it. :)

If you have to ask, the answer is no. If you were a convicted criminal, I'm fairly comfortable that you would know.
