Due To Some Bad Advice From Askville My $10,000 Heirloom Grandfather Clock Is Now At The Bottom Of A Swimming Pool

All wet  You see that little white box up there that says "Search Askville" over it?       Funny, but you must have asked your question in some language like South Yemeni, as there seems to be no record of your original question.   But let?s just assume you did.  Now what could your question have been?   Here?s some guesses:   "Is it okay for me to move this priceless fragile and heavy clock across the pool by stretching Saran Wrap over the pool and rolling the clock over it?     The voices in my head are suggesting this.     -or was it- :   "My chiropodist says Grandfather clocks, being mostly wood, will float, while the village idiot, says it will sink.   What does Askville say?"    ----   Really now.   You've had months to come up with a good story.  This rather implausible tale of a clock and a pool is below reproach.   Go far far away and do try a lot harder next time.       Ancient_Hacker 58 months ago Please sign in to give a compliment. Wow! I guess you didn't learn your lesson when your dog fell off the roof. After that fiasco, I would think the problem is the the way you're following the advice given.
