Fake ID ticket as traffic violation in NY add points to license?

I used a fake ID to get into a bar while at school (stupid... I know) and got a ticket that stated it was a traffic violation and the reason stated fraudulent ID. I just paid the fine and plead guilty so I wouldn't have to go to court. Would this add points to my license even though it had nothing to do with an actual traffic violation?
