Freedom of speech or conspiracy against our president? Where do we draw the line?

Postby leonie36 » Fri Apr 01, 2011 11:32 am

I have watched Fox News last Sunday, where president Obama was insulted and blamed with false accusations.Yesterday on CNN reported a priest openly wishes the president would die from "brain cancer". How can we expect our president to do his job we elected him to do if our laws can not or will not defend him?
I know we have laws that penalize criminals if they commit acts like "Personal Injury" or "Advertising injury" Is the president of the United States is exempt from this protection?
I think we have a small but powerful domestic terrorist group which threatens our country much more damaging then Al Kaide and Hamas put together. They managed to obtain a "license to break the law"and get away with it.We can not maintain our democracy and moral standards unless we can achieve true freedom and justice for all.
We need to apply the law to stop the unnecessary interference so we can clearly hear and understand the very important issues like Health care proposal.
Please tell me what do you think?

Freedom of speech or conspiracy against our president? Where do we draw the line?

It is amazing that a news station such as fox news can slander, spread myths, and twist the truth and has a following as large as it does. With out a question they have an objective and I find it shameful that so many Americans can take its word with out question.
I'm sure secret service monitor fox on a daily bases along with their half wit anchor people!

You sure can expect your president to do his job when others do not agree with h im. Bush took ridicule, slander, and libel and still did his job. As for O being blamed falsely, that is highly unlikely. I think you have been drinking the O koolaid and spouting their talking points. It is O's supporters that have been threatening violence. IT was the Black Panthers that carried weapons to the polls and threatened people. I am sure those uneducated such as yourself believe that we should stiop the freedom of speech but that is one of our basic rights. Hillary said it best when she said it is our duty to protest.

OMG ... I am sorry but I cannot stay here and listen to this load of crap without saying something. before you jump to my throat i will tell you i am NOT a Republican nor a conservative I an independent and as so I will tell you ... where the heck have you been in the last 8 YEARS when all Democrats and Liberals did and said the same if NOT worse to President Bush?

I am amazed and i mean it in such a bad way, at how little political knowledge our population has but mostly at how little and pathetic people can be. It just baffles me to hear a bunch of people blame others for the very same thing THEY have been doing for so long themselves.
Unbelievable.
