Will I get approved for a credit card firm that I currently have 1 credit card with? In my case , the business is Capital 1 exactly where you dont need to have any credit or credit history to get a credit card and its a 2nd secured card that I want to apply for.

Hmm. They may possibly let you where it really is a secured card and they will get to use much more of your cash. I know in the old days it was a no-no. But with all the consolidation in the credit sector, it is not uncommon for men and women to have various branded cards from the identical credit card business. Give it a attempt!

Two secured cards is not going to help your credit rating. You have already made some mistakes -one is overpaying the card company. You have now loaned them a lot of your money, which they are not going to pay you any interest on, and you cannot get if you need it.http://askville.amazon.com/Credit-card-negative-balance/DiscussionBoard.do?requestId=69106135&page=1&scrollToLatestComment=trueIf you are trying to be financially smart, you should have put the 600 plus dollars you overpaid your credit card into a savings account. It would have earned you a little more money, and you would be able to get to it. You should never ,ever, have a negative balance on a credit card. Here's the deal. 1.) A secured card doesn't affect your credit score. All it does is hold your money for you - which is foolish, since they are making money off of you. Manage your own money.2.) Get away from Capitol One. They are one of, if not the, WORST card. Their interest rates, financial charges, and yearly fees are outrageously high. You are paying them a ton of money to use your OWN money. Do you see how silly that is?3.) Do not EVER pay them more than the entire balance on the card. They have invested your money and are making a profit off of it - and you could be doing that yourself - to your benefit. They're using you, and you are paying them to use you.4.) You have asked a lot about credit cards, but you don't seem to have taken the advice you were given. My suggestion is to use up the negative balalnce - YOUR money, and close the account. You don't need a second card. You need to learn what you are doing before you even have one.
