Going About Seeing Ent Specialist Privately?

Just wondering if i need to go to my GP to see an ENT(ear nose and throat)specialist privately,i am in the uk if it makes any difference its just my GP seems so not interested when i ask he say i will make you an appointment but so far it has not happened and my ears are getting so much worse,so thanks if you know if i can do private appointment without GP.
