Got a ticket for speeding through a school zone, BUT no school signs around! plus i was going 35 mph come on?

two months ago, I was pulled over for going 35 in a 25 school zone. There are NO school signs posted! the school is on a side street... i was on a main street, and was pulled over. again, no signs posted! now it 410.00 bucks, and I have used the extention to pay, now its up on tuesday? there is no time on paper, just date. how can I appeal? how can I reduce, how can get out of it.

If you wish to appeal, then you would plead not guilty, set a trial, stand trial, get convicted and then appeal. A ticket is an accusation of a crime, not a conviction, and one cannot appreal from an accusation. If you simply pay the fine, that is a plea of guilty and there is nothing left to appeal.

Sux to be you. If you don't pay the fine on time, the court will double it. If you don't pay it then, they will issue a warrant for your arrest.

I think it should have been just a regular ticket if anything just due to speeding and he's using school zone as an excuse to make the amount higher. You can take pictures of the street to show no signs if you want to bring it to court. Good luck

Any residential area, wether posted or not is 30mph and you were going 5mph over that to start with!
Most areas where there are schools are 20mph so your lucky that yours was a 25...
There would have been a clear sign to indicate the speed when it dropped below 30mph...
Learn your lesson dont speed...

nothing you can do. school zone signs aren't as noticeable or prominent on a street away from the school. you can always plead not guilty but good luck with that, they don't give much leeway in school zones.

If you can prove in court that there are no school zone signs you can beat the ticket.
