Speeding Ticket 22 over in School Zone. GA. Very cheap ticket..mistake?

Alright so I got a speeding ticket for 22 over in a school zone....57 in a 35...it was by complete accident, it turned into a school zone at 2, and I was on the road at 2:05 and pulled out of a plaza where flashing lights were not posted. Anyways, the cop was very dick-ish and his first words were "Your going to big boy court", and said I had mandatory court. I am 18 years old, first ticket. My dads friend recently got a speeding ticket for 15 over in a school zone and it as $800. I assumed mine would be atleast a grand. WHEN I CALLED TO SEE HOW MUCH IT WAS, they said $180, and that I didnt have to go to court if I paid it. The ticket written was VERY VERY sloppy, could they have made a mistake?

Whether the ticket was written sloppy is of no concern. If there are errors in the writing of the ticket you might have a chance but at that speed, I doubt if you have a chance. My experience is that a school zone speed limit is usually 25 mph or less so you might want to look at it closer. But in a nutshell, your toast, pay the ticket. z
