Got caught selling weed at school, please help?

I got caught yesterday selling weed, there was about 1-1.5gs I had and I was charged wit possession with intent to sell, my friend got caught thn they read his texts and got my named and searched me and found weed in baggies, than i was arrested and booked, I cooperated and told them everything , this is my first time breaking the law, they searched my wallet and only found 3 dollars, I live in California and I'm 17, I was suspended from school for 5 days and might be expelled and I am being tried as a minor, they told me many times I was lucky I wasn't 18, I have good grades and taking and passing honors classes, can u tell me what wil most likely happen to me? I sincerely regret my actions and hope to learn from this and focus on school, I still want to go to college and go into the medical field, please help

I do think you may be let off with a small fine due to your goodish behavior and grades.

I think you regret being caught, which means you will do it again. Just go to jail now and get it over with. Losers are as losers do.

You will be put down on drugs conviction and will be shown at a job or collage interview. I'm not sure in California but here in the uk if your over 18 and you supply drugs you could get up to 14 years jail time and possible isolation from other countries.

This is not your first time breaking the law. This is your first time being caught breaking the law.

You will be expelled. You will be able to attend an alternative school and graduate. You will not be able to get financial aid for college, nor will you be able to attend a public university after graduation. You can apply after either 7 or 10 years - I have forgotten which now.

Take your earnings from dealing and get an attorney. If any sort of diversionary program is suggested, no matter how awful or stupid you think it is, accept it.

Your punishment will be less than it should/could be, but the problem you now have is the record for selling drugs that will follow you for the rest of your life. Good luck getting a job, getting a car loan, getting a mortgage, going into the military, applying to college, etc.etc. Your upcoming punishment is the least of your worries. Even if the record is "sealed," this no longer means anything. Man, you need a good lawyer..
