What do i say? i got caught plagiarizing?

I had to write a 3oo word essay on this book we were reading in class, i plagiarized a few sentences. My English teacher noticed and reported it to the dean on of student. I realized what i had done, and i have also prayed aboit it. My mom is away, due to my aunt having cancer and having suregy for it. I have been relly stressed out due to the fact. I have swim practice at 715 at night and dont get home until 930. Sonce my mom is gone, i have to do everything she was in charge of , and I AM REALLY STRESSED, that is the reason for my action.. WHAT SHOULD I DO AND WHAT SHOULD I SAY? Should i tell my mom before hand or wait ??

Stress isn't the reason for your plagiarism - poor judgement is (though fatigue and stress can impair your judgement).

Own up to it - tell your mother and go talk to the dean and accept full responsibility. Accept that it was poor judgement, and explain that you don't normally make stupid decisions like that, and you'd like a chance to repair your reputation with your professor and the school.

Go and talk to your English teacher and Dean immediately and explain the situation to them.
If this essay was not graded by an exam board or an official piece of work than the situation isn't serious. Tell them about your aunt, mum and lack of time and hopefully they will understand. Teacher's aren't monsters, they do want the best for you.

Offer to re-write the paper and apologise for your actions.

Where are the sentences from? If you can prove that the sentences are in the public domain, you have the physical right to ownership of them, so you can use the sentences in any manner, shape, or form without being punished.

tell the truth about all your pressures and maybe re-do the paper if its not that long, giving reference to where you got the sentences. just use them as quotes or something, as long as you say 'mr so-and-so says'blah blah blah' and I agree with him because it is proven on page 23 where it is written that mr johnson had a 'difficult upbringing' etc its fine :D

There is nothing you can say... "A few sentences"... in 300 words, I bet it was a majority of the paper. By the way, all you have to do (though it would have cut into your important time "texting" your BFF) is have given references for those sentences.
