Gun control proponents: Do you believe criminals would not get guns if they were illegal?

The debate rages on. It seems to me that laws do not stop criminals from anything they want, so if we so choose, we have the right and responsibility to defend ourselves and our families. Am I wrong?

The INSANE, the RETARDED, the LIARS and no one else tell us:

A) Criminals kill people BECAUSE lawful citizens can have automatic weapons(1) and banana clips.
B) That ANY gun control proposal was ever INTENDED to stop criminals from getting weapons
C) That "curtailing the manufacture" is possible, presumably because criminals are WAY less-than human so they CANNOT MAKE guns or ammo like everyone else can - thus if we "ban" them, no bad-guy can ever get one.
D) That most illegal guns are stolen from legitimate gun owners(2)

F) That ANY gun restriction anywhere - ever - has yielded REDUCED violence instead of INCREASED violence.(3)
G) That the high homicide rate "in the U.S." is due to laws in cities where there is little or no crime.(4)

(1) The NON-retarded know we aren't talking about automatic weapons. In the several decades the government has been compiling data, EXACTLY ONE crime has been committed with an automatic weapon and the perp was A COP.
(2) Most have NEVER been in the legitimate stream of commerce
(3) The U.K. was renowned the World over for its general safety BEFORE British gun control. Now it's the MOST DEADLY place in all of the developed World. One is more likely to be SHOT in London than in Baghdad.
(4) If you leave-out just THREE U.S. cities, the U.S. is the SAFEST place in the World. You KNOW what those three cities have in common, don't you?

Chicago ( Obama's turf has the strictest gun control laws in the nation.....they also have the highest crimes by guns in the nation. DC lifted it's gun ban by order of SCOTUS and since have seen their crimes by gun drop.
