H1b Visa Transfer Case

Postby Mauro » Mon May 12, 2014 9:54 am

hi

I have come to US on H1B visa in july, although i got it stamped in nov last year.

Now when i've come here, i want to transfer my h1b visa to a different employer as my current employer doesn't seems to have a project in my area of interest or domain. it's been only 2 days since i've been here, and am yet to apply for my ssn. i dont have any pay stubs as of now. In this situation, can i transfer my visa to a different employer without pay stubs, and can any queries be raised if i do this because i've come in july here, not in november when i got the visa stamped.

Are you actually benched (being paid, but with no work assigned) or have you been laid off? If you've been laid off, two days into the country or no, you're supposed to be returning home. If you've been benched, you should get paystubs.
