Have you ever watched the JVI show?

Postby winfrid12 » Tue Apr 05, 2011 1:13 am

I have seen a few episodes of this on tv and I an just amazed on how stupid these people sound. is this what Christianity is about? scare tactics and wild predictions of the NWO and the end of the world? I have been hearing about this garbage since I was born and I was told by my mother not to have any hope for the future because we were all going to die by the time I was a teenage by this. I really don't get it, is this what you want to hear and dwell on?
I am 23 now and have given up on anticipating the end, I have learned to live for the day and not worry about what tomorrow brings but its these kind of topics and predictions I can honestly say have ruined my views on church and the definition of a "christian" person. I still believe in god and jesus but have a hard time believing in a church and the people who call them self's Christians.

please explain to me what the sense of this kind of slander of our world is doing other than making ratings and buying these people of this show everything they could ask for. it makes me sick just hearing this crap knowing that some people still buy into this. please help me out on this, lately i really feel my faith hanging in the balance here. sorry if this sound like a rant, it is a serious question

Well, you've unwittingly stumbled on the paradoxes and contradictions inherent in just about all dogmatic religions, not just christianity.

People try to provide an explanation that itself cannot be explained (a god) to explain things that they cannot otherwise explain. But what they provide is really no explanation at all, just another question.

It has been said that thoroughly reading the bible is one of the primary causes of atheism.
