As a second year law student, with 19 years of professional healthcare experience, I would like to explore professional legal opportunities that will build upon my academic foundation.

- What role does mediation play in personal injury law? Would becoming a certified mediator present additional opportunities?

- Are there consultant opportunities to provide medically related information to particular questions relating to a client's case?

- In addition to personal injury litigation, I would sincerely appreciate any advice regarding healthcare law niche practice opportunities.

The pharmaceutical industry employs many lawyers, and not just patent attorneys. Lawyers review marketing materials and advise on legal/regulatory issues, and probably a lot more. A medical background would certainly be helpful in this kind of work.
