Help understand this Tarot reading. can you tell me the message?

Postby shaddoc98 » Fri Jul 13, 2012 10:56 am

I asked this: Will I be able to get back with my ex-girlfriend? how?
This is what came up with this images.
The page of wands in the middle reversed(upside down).
At the top Temperance.
To the left of Page of Wands, The lovers.
To the right of Page of Wands, the Queen of Wands (upside down)
and at the bottom right under the Page of Wands, The Empress(upside down)

The Creative Process spread is designed specifically to peer into the nature of a project or creative undertaking, and shine a spotlight on the evolution of its parts. The Curious Tarot is the rarest and most unusual of modern decks. The cards form a surreal collage of American consumer imagery, eerily capturing the archetypes of the atomic age. It is the deck of those who seek to harness the ancient tribal energy that courses through the modern urban world.

The card in the middle represents the creative force behind the project, be it a person, organization, or other entity. Page of Wands, when reversed: The dark essence of fire behaving as earth, such as dry wood: The surprising appearance of a new passion or inflammatory news. A trickster who can unexpectedly ignite a dangerous situation. The intensity and childish imagination that can send even the most stable venture spinning wildly out of control. Can represent a person outwardly timid, but harboring unexpected inner fury. May indicate the birth of a child.

The card on the top represents imagination - the prophetic image that stems from the creative force of the previous card to initiate the project. This is the poetry or voice of the undertaking. Temperance: Calm and restraint. Self-control, patience and tact in handling situations. The act of applying balanced spiritual and psychic forces to physical life.

The card on the left represents emotion - the feelings aroused by or surrounding the ideation of the project that takes place in the previous card. This is the music or scent of the undertaking. The Lovers: A caring and trusting relationship. Beauty and inner harmony. A decision calling for emotional control and faithfulness to spiritual values.

The card on the bottom represents thought - the analytical process of organizing the project and capturing the emotional content of the previous card. This is the science or vision of the undertaking. The Empress, when reversed: Stifling matriarchal influence. Unhappiness, selfishness, poverty and disruption of the home or family. Indecision, paranoia, and jealous rage. Sterility.

The card on the right represents manifestation - the real work involved in completing the project, and the form it will take upon culmination. This is the painting or touch of the undertaking. Queen of Wands, when reversed: The dark essence of fire behaving as water, such as steam: The natural embodiment of passion and sensuality, who will do anything to the be the center of attention. A seducer who calculatingly dons the guise of what others desire. A cocky and domineering person, who pushes anyone or anything aside to get what she wants. One who is vengeful and quick to take offense without good cause. May indicate infidelity and contempt for a relationship.

Can you make sence of this for me and tell me the message?

Well, I don't know what website you used, but your spread is likely a Daily Spread or Cross of Truth. The description above is a little alien to me though, so I'm telling you my own interpretation. There are different ways to read it, but with the Cross of Truth: The middle card represents your desires, the bottom card the "basis" of the situation (how did you end up in the situation? where did it start from?), the left card opposing forces or challenges, the right card helpful forces, and the top card the solution.

So basically: the bottom card, which is The Empress, is generally a card of fertility, motherhood, happy marriage and relationships, nurture etc, but when reversed, it's the opposite of the above mentioned, and that is the basis of your situation, the reason and the way you came to your present position regarding your question.

The middle card represents your hopes and fears, and since it's reversed page of wands, it could be a person, most likely a child or a young person who appears gentle and nice outward, but can be dark from the inside. It can also refer to some sort of news regarding passionate or creative things, like hobbies, work or work or some sort of active stuff. The middle card can also represent the way you see the situation and how well you are in tune with the situation.

The queen of wands represents a helpful force, generally a female person, and since it's reversed, a rather non-sensitive, domineering and selfish person. It can also be a male, but generally queens represent females. This indicates that if you want to get back together with your ex, this kind of a person (you probably know him/her, but she might be a random stranger who pops in by surprise too) will be of help regarding your wish, but only regarding your wish.

The Lovers card represents the challenges and opposing forces...something that is preventing you from achieving what you want, and the Lovers card is rather self-explanatory, representing love, relationships, romance, but also choices and decisions that call for emotional attention. In this case there might be some choices or decisions you have not yet made and are preventing you from getting back together with your ex...or it might be something about love and romance in general, ideologies etc.

The final card represent the outcome and provides an advice. Temperance stands for patience and ability to compromise. It stands for balanced emotions and healing. Generally this card is an outcome card, but in this case I would say it is more like an advice...perhaps you'll need patience and balanced emotions in order to achieve your goal (e.g. get back together with your girlfriend)...don't get carried away by the passionate energy of the fire represented by the Wands and the Lovers, but rather try to find a sort of emotional balance and face things gently and with cooperation.
Remember that the advice must be looked at regarding the other cards in the reading as well (what's helpful, what's opposing you).

So, that's how I'd interpriet your reading, but there are many different ways to read the general five-card-cross spread, and mine is only one.
