SDI is non-taxable
Workers Comp is non-taxable unless you received supplemental income (vacation, sick, or other time) to equal your normal income.

If you have $0 earned income or investment income you would not file a tax return.

Workers compensation payment amounts for an on the job injury would NOT be taxable income to you.
The Ca SDI insurance payment amounts that are from premium that are paid by with after income tax $$$$ would NOT be TAXABLE income to you on your 1040 income tax return.
If the employer would be paying the SDI premium for this policy for the SDI payment amounts then you would have some TAXABLE income that you would have to include on your correctly completed 1040 income tax return for the tax year and you would receive a statement or form from the third party payer with the information that you would have to use to report the taxable amount on your 1040 income tax return in the next after the end of the year that the amounts are received in.
Hope that you find the above enclosed information useful. 06/27/2011
