How do i determine what my lawsuit is worth?

so i had a sexual harassment case against my former employer, my attorney missed my deadline to file my suit then quit my case because she didn't know what to do. I currently hired a new attorney and am going after her for legal malpractice. Just curious how we determine how much my case was worth?

A malpractice case is essentially for what you would have gotten from the underlying suit if you had been successful (in other words, you're suing for what you would have won had your sexual harassment been decided in your favor). Add attorneys fees and costs on top of that, and there's your number.

A word of warning; if your underlying sexual harassment case wasn't very strong then you will have an uphill battle winning a malpractice suit.

It is worth what a jury would likely have awarded. That presupposes that you would have won. The jury would have been instructed to compute damages based on lost wages. Your lawyer can figure more, but the information you gave hear is nowhere near to complete.
