In Florida, if an individual gets a speeding ticket (or any other traffic ticket, for that matter) - they are, within a matter of days, "buried" with advertisements from different law firms who want to render their services. My question is this: how do the law firms get the information? I'm guessing the information is public record, and can be readily requested from the clerk of courts in whatever county they get the ticket in. But how, EXACTLY, is it done? If, for instance, a TV reporter wanted the same exact information at these various law firms - how could they go about getting it? What number needs to be called? Who needs to be spoken to and what words need to be said? Is there a form that needs to be filled out and sent somewhere? Does it cost anything? Someone break it down for me...I WANNA KNOW!
